Three epic locations for our photoshoot in Marrakech. All photos taken with Sony A7Rii + Carl Zeiss FE 55mm and 35mm and iPhone | Photos of me taken by Melvin Roberto.

Ben Youssef Medresa

Ben Youssef was our first destination to visit in Marrakech (because I was charmed by too many pinterest images). We followed the direction boards and arrived in an unassuming entrance; an old wooden door in the middle of the Medina. But as soon as we get our tickets at the entrance (60 MHD, 2016) and entered the courtyard, a lot of  “wow” was exchanged. Beautiful, intricate zellij and lace-like wood carvings decorated this huge place.

The Royal Mansour

Those who has a penchant for decorative Islamic Arts (me) will feel in heaven in this place. All the floors and walls will capture your heart before you can even say the word “Zellij” (with gasped breath). The Royal Mansour was built by his highness Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, and meant to be the most lavish, super luxurious hotel in Marrakech. 10 out of 10 The Jasmine in you will approve.
